Role Summary
The Agency Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, operational stability, and risk management of the agency. This role serves as the right hand to the Agency Owner, ensuring that issues are addressed proactively, the team is supported, and leadership is never surprised.

The Agency Manager absorbs pressure, escalates risk early, and acts in alignment with agency leadership at all times. This role is based on judgment, ownership, emotional resilience, and trust.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Alignment
    • Act in full alignment with the Agency Owner’s priorities and direction
    • Represent leadership decisions consistently and professionally
    • Escalate any information that could impact Revenue, Staffing, Retention, Culture or Compliance
    • Protect the agency from surprises by communicating early and clearly
  • Decision-Making & Judgment
    • Make day-to-day operational decisions independently
    • Troubleshoot issues before escalating
    • Know what to escalate, when, and why
    • Document issues, actions taken, and outcomes
  • Team Oversight & Support
    • Serve as the first point of contact for customer escalations, internal team concerns and workflow issues
    • Coach team members on expectations and professionalism
    • Address minor performance or conduct issues before they rise
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily office flow and productivity
    • Ensure systems, tools, and vendors are functioning
    • Resolve operational issues without owner dependency
    • Maintain consistency in procedures and execution
  • Emotional Leadership
    • Remain calm and solution-focused under pressure
    • Separate personal feelings from leadership responsibility
    • Handle conflict, feedback, and tension professionally
    • Model maturity, accountability, and resilience

What This Role Requires
  • Property & Casualty and Life & Health License
  • 3-5 years of State Farm Experience w/ Proven Sales Track Record
  • College Degree Preferred
  • Comfort with difficult conversations
  • Willingness to escalate uncomfortable information
  • Ability to absorb stress without emotional shutdown
  • Strong judgment and independence
  • Loyalty to the agency over peer relationships

The Office Manager is accountable for meeting assigned goals and ensuring agency stability and performance. This role requires a results-first mindset and the ability to lead through action rather than explanation.

The Office Manager is expected to
  • Meet assigned sales goals consistently and take full ownership of outcomes
  • Demonstrate a solution-oriented approach when sales goals are not met
  • Identify obstacles early and implement corrective actions proactively
  • Communicate action plans and solutions instead of focusing on obstacles
  • Adjust strategies independently to close performance gaps
  • Maintain accountability even when conditions are challenging
The Office Manager is expected to model this level of accountability and solution-oriented thinking for the entire team.
Compensation $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
